Each class will consist of 1-1/4 hours of instruction. Attendance is strongly
recommended, will be taken at the beginning of the class, and will
affect your grade. Please don’t be late.
Grading policy: Your final grade (A, B, C, D, F) depends on more than just passing or failing the final

pass the course.
Four Tests (approximately 45
minutes apiece) will count for 50% of your final grade. (Makeup
quizzes may be arranged only when exceptional reasons prevent you from
taking the quiz as scheduled. You must
provide a written explanation of the reason and all quizzes must
be made up prior to the next class session.) Homework, attendance, class participation – total 15%. Final Exam 35%.
Honesty policy: Cheating on a quiz or the final exam
may be punishable in the discretion of the instructor by confiscation of the

Students are expected to
