Employment:

Fall 2007.  Special General Education Assistant to the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Passaic County Community College.  Duties included acting as liaison between the VPAA and the newly appointed Chair of General Education, and assisting the VPAA and the chair as needed with Assessment and Planning of General Education in light of legislative changes and 2-year/4-year institution agreements.

Sept 1998 to date.  Adjunct Professor of Mathematics, Montclair State University.  Courses taught include Mathematics for Business Applications: Linear Algebra, Mathematics for Business Applications: Calculus, Contemporary Applied Mathematics for Everyone, Calculus II (indep. study).

Sept 1996 to date.  Adjunct Professor of Mathematics, County College of Morris.  Courses taught include developmental Basic Mathematics and Basic Algebra, Statistics, Probability, College Algebra, Pre-Calculus and Calculus I.  Additional activities include: appointed by College President as Adjunct Representative to College Council (2007-2009), member of cast of college musical ‘Beauty and the Beast’ (fall 2007), participation in Middle States Self-Study Committee (2002).

July 2004 to June 2007.  Assistant Professor of Mathematics, Passaic County Community College.  Courses taught ranged from Developmental Arithmetic to Calculus II including Statistics and On-Line (Liberal Arts) College Mathematics I.  Highlights of additional activities included:

one of four representatives of the 19 NJ Community Colleges on the Mathematics Taskforce (subcommittee of the New Jersey College Presidents’ Council) regarding the New State-Wide Transfer Agreement.

Chair of General Education Committee (directly under VPAA). Immediate responsibilities included (1) mustering the data for the 2005-2006 General Education Assessment and guiding the Committee in preparing the Assessment Report for that period, (2) moderating the Committee’s consideration of the Assessment process utilized in that preparation of the AY 2005-2006 Report, (3) writing for the Committee’s review all proposals to Dr. Kineavy and presenting all Committee reports to the Chairs’ Meetings, and (4) scheduling, coordinating, conducting and guiding Committee meetings regarding preparation for AY 2006-2007 General Education Assessment, among other non-specific informational duties.
